NAMI Clark, Greene & Madison Counties is a strong NAMI affiliate! Our Executive Director is Angela Dugger and she oversees all NAMI programs and support groups in our tri-county area. We are governed by the NAMI Clark, Greene and Madison Counties' Board of Directors and funded in part by the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Clark, Greene and Madison Counties.
Our dedicated NAMI staffers, Board members, NAMI members, Volunteers, and Support Group Facilitators work tirelessly to raise awareness and end the stigma surrounding brain-based diseases. Additionally, they provide essential education, advocacy and support through the area and beyond for people living with mental illness (peers) and their loved ones and friends.
We offer two comfortable NAMI drop-in support centers each weekday where peers can meet with others just like them to play, craft, and/or relax in a friendly and safe environment. Both sites offer skilled Peer Support Specialists and well-trained staff to monitor and guide activities. Cold breakfasts and light lunches are available.
Our confidential NAMI Signature Educational Programs and Support Groups, and our monthly Third Thursday Series meetings , which are open to the public, help people gain vital information, insight and understanding. Participation in the various aspects of NAMI programming are described often by many as life-changing. By attending such activities, people learn that they are not alone in the Recovery Journey, and that others share many of the same issues.
With NAMI in your life you no longer have to walk the path of mental illness alone, we will be there with you. And, we are better together!
